Affordable convergence
HS Teliann TelimaxTM is a family of versatile VoIP gateways that enable existing telephone systems to work with IP-based networks. The Telimax 4000 is a high performance VoIP gateway for providing cost-effective voice and fax communications over IP and PSTN networks.
With Telimax, voice and fax calls can be routed either to the PSTN or IP network, whichever has the least toll cost. Telimax offers the ability to make voice or fax calls at local rates to any phone number in any Intranet location where a Telimax 4000 and a PBX are found. Callers simply call the number of the Telimax 4000 in the desired area, and then dial a local phone number to any destination of their choice.
Existing PBXs in their offices can save significant communication costs by utilizing an IP network for their voice and fax communications in addition to the traditional telephone networks--whether their offices are in one country, in several countries, or across the world.
Interoperates in existing environments Telimax 4000 interoperates with any standards-based PBXs. In fact, all existing equipment such as PBXs, key systems, routers, and other communications devices can continue to be used with the Telimax solution. Telimax connects to either PBX CO line or extension ports. Telimax's LAN port interfaces with a 10/100 base-T local area networks.
Flexible architecture Telimax 4000 can be configured with combinations of FXO, FXS, FXS+PSTN back up, and E&M option modules. Each option card consists of four channels. Designed for maximum flexibility, The 4000 model has universal slots that can accept two option cards per slot. Telimax's modular design allows users to design network configurations without wasted ports and incurring costs for unused hardware.
Telimax 4000 can be configured as follows depending on the use of each Telephony Interface module card.
