Convergence at SOHO Telimax 211 and 212 allows users to route voice and fax calls over an IP network to lower telephone charges. Telimax 211 is a one-port gateway offering a cost-effective and simple way to immediately utilize VoIP-the users just connect an analog telephone, key system, or PBX to the Telimax and follow basic set up procedures to enable their office for VoIP. Telimax 212 is a two-port model convenient for connecting a fax machine as well as telephones on the VoIP system. Telimax is designed to operate in a number of network environments. Telimax can terminate connections on a company intranet, serve as a gateway to the public Internet, or as an access point to VoIP service provider networks.
Standard-based Telimax 211 and 212 support the ITU-T H.323 standards. Telimax will work with any vendor products complying with the H.323 specifications. Telimax is compatible with any standards-based PBXs, key systems (KTS), and analog telephones. Telimax can be connected to a PBX or KTS CO port and a standard RJ11 port on an analog phone. For IP networking, existing routers, hubs, and other devices can be used with the Telimax system. Telimax's LAN port interfaces with a 10 base-T local area networks. Telimax can be remotely managed via the industry standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), via Telnet or via a Web interface over the Internet.
PSTN Back up In case of power failure or IP network problems, Telimax supports a PSTN backup function that automatically enables the user to make calls via the regular telephone network. Thus, at no point will Telimax users be without critical phone services.
Enhanced NAT performance Telimax supports NAT which allows one registered IP address to be shared with unregistered IP addresses of the devices on your network. Therefore, NAT saves the cost and it enhances the security of your network.
